Illustrator
Michèle StandjofskiMichèle Standjofski is one of the great figures of illustration in Lebanon. She remains, after thirty years of work in comics and illustration, always enthusiastic and creative. What she likes most about this job is finding the tone of each project, the right balance between humor, emotion and aesthetics. With a literary training (master's degree in French literature), she learned the drawing with her grandfather; but as far as illustration is concerned, she is self-taught. She uses inks, watercolor, pastel, gouache or collage as well as the infographic tool. His career has taken a new turn with "Toutes les mers" (Des Ronds dans l'O, France, 2017), a comic for adults. Michèle Standjofski received the Audience Award at the Pulp Festival, and was nominated for the Artemisia Awards. His work has been exhibited throughout France, including Aix-en-Provence, Angoulême and Saint-Malo. She is currently working on another album to be released in 2020. -

Samir EditeurFounded in 1947, Samir Editor is a well-established publisher based in Beirut, specializing in youth and school books. All our titles are published in two versions - one French and one Arabic - and distributed all over the world. Our youth catalog includes albums, first readings, fiction and documentary, for young people from 2 to 17 years old. We publish original content as well as carefully adapted translations, such as those of several novels by Roald Dahl. Our authors and illustrators, with their varied cultural and geographical backgrounds, enrich our catalog of award-winning titles, such as Lenia Major's novel for teenagers Caballero, laureate of three literary prizes and selected for three others in France (2017-2018); or the album "Raconte encore, grand-mère !" from Marido Viale and Xavier Broncard who won the 2016 Chronos Prize in France.
